While We Were Walking is a charming, funny and poignant, romantic comedy. Neil, a hopeless romantic and Esha, a whimsical idealist, meet on a trip to a hill station and end up spending a day together.

The play unfolds on the imaginary hill station of Canning Hill and follows the protagonists on a leisurely day of walking through the lanes of Canning Hill and running into locals such as a cab driver, two theatre actors, a barista, a poet, a street dancer and a musician. Surrounded by people and the sights and sounds of a hill town, their day of companionship reveals to them an emotional intimacy when Esha matches wits with Neil’s studious intellectualism.
